একজন migration agent-এর কাছ থেকে আপনি কী পাওয়ার অধিকার রাখেন

Before any work starts

• You must be given the consumer guide (s38).
• আপনার অবশ্যই একটি থাকতে হবে লিখিত service agreement, signed, covering the work and authorising the agent to act (s42).
• The agent আপনার কাছ থেকে কোনো টাকা নেওয়া যাবে না সেই চুক্তি কার্যকর হওয়ার আগে (s51)।

ফি সম্পর্কে

• Fees must be a fixed fee or an hourly rate with an estimate of hours, and must be fair and reasonable (s46).
• লিখিতভাবে আগে সম্মতি না দিলে estimate-এর বেশি আপনাকে চার্জ করা যাবে না।
• You must get an আগে itemised invoice charge করা হচ্ছে এবং একটি receipt after paying (s49).
• আপনি যে অর্থ পরিশোধ করেছেন কিন্তু যা এখনো উপার্জিত হয়নি, তা একটি client account-এ রাখতে হবে (s50)।

What an agent must never do

• Say they can obtain a particular decision, or guarantee a visa (s26).
• Home Affairs Department বা OMARA (মাইগ্রেশন এজেন্টস রেজিস্ট্রেশন অথরিটি)-এর সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক আছে এমন ইঙ্গিত দেওয়া - যেমন "Government registered" বা "MARA approved" (s26)।
• আপনার সম্ভাবনা বা তাদের নিজস্ব যোগ্যতা সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা বা বিভ্রান্তিকর বক্তব্য দিন।
• Advertise without their registration number (s25).
• আপনার লিখিত সম্মতি ছাড়া আপনার ব্যক্তিগত তথ্য কোনো তৃতীয় পক্ষের কাছে প্রকাশ করা (s35)।

Your file and your documents

• Your agent must keep a file on your matter for seven years এটির ওপর শেষ পদক্ষেপের পরে (s56)।
• You can ask in writing for the documents you own, and they must be returned within 14 days (s54). VisaBid-এ আপনি যেকোনো সময় পুরো ফাইল নিজেও export করতে পারেন।

অভিযোগ করা

• A registered migration agent: OMARA-এ অভিযোগ করুন।
• একজন আইনজীবী: complain to the legal services commissioner in their state or territory.
• Someone charging you who is registered as neither: that is a criminal offence under s280 of the Migration Act. Report it to the Australian Border Force.
