What the Authority decided

On 8 November 2016, the Authority decided to bar the Former Agent for a period of 5 years. Following the Authority's investigation into four complaints in relation the Former Agent's conduct, while he was registered, the Authority was satisfied that a barring decision was appropriate as the former agent intentionally abused the trust and dependence that his clients placed in him in relation to their visa applications and caused them significant harm in terms of visa outcomes and financial outlay. The conduct extended to knowledge of, and involvement in, an arrangement where sponsorship for a visa was procured in exchange for payment and served to undermine the integrity of the employer sponsored visa programmes. The Authority also found that the Agent had breached clauses 2.1, 2.4, 2.8, 2.9, 2.17, 2.18, 2.23, 5.2 and 5.5 of the Code of Conduct. What a bar means if this was your agent

1. Find out where your application actually is. If you have an ImmiAccount, log in. The clock does not stop because your representation did.

What this decision does not mean

It is a decision about one individual on one date. Only a person can be a registered migration agent — a company cannot — so it says nothing about anyone else at the same practice. Decisions of this kind are reviewable, and bars and suspensions expire. The register এখানেই বর্তমান অবস্থানটি থাকে।
